Justice Arun Mishra is to be appointed as new Chief of NHRC

The first non-CJI to be appointed NHRC chief, Ex-Supreme Court Judge Justice Arun Mishra is new Human Rights Commission Chairperson. He took charge as the eighth Chairperson of NHRC. Besides Justice Arun Mishra, Rajeev Jain former director of Intelligence Bureau and Justice M M Kumar former Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir high court also joined as member.
